Galin Borisov, an astronomer at Bulgarian Academy of Sciences /BAS/ is the prize winner of the photo competition “The World under One Flag” with his flag Mountain Impressions.
The contest was organized to celebrate the 125-years of the foundation of Bulgarian Geographic Society/BGS/.
United Bulgarian Bank, Bulgarian National Geographic magazine and Bulgarian National Geographic Channel bestowed the prize of the competition to the winner Galin Borisov on Tuesday during the official opening of the exhibition of the photos that have won the contest.
Galin Borisov is from Bulgarian Black Sea city of Varna and he is currently a PhD at both the Bulgarian Institute of Astronomy and in the National Astronomical Observatory Rozhen.
The participants in the competition had to present an interpretation of the flag of BGS, using its original colors- blue, brown and green.
The exhibition of the 40 best photos in the contest could be seen on the Lovers Bridge in Bulgarian capital Sofia, located near the National Palace of Culture until October 20.
