Two unknown offenders robbed a bank office in the northwestern Bulgarian town of Vratsa on Tuesday night.

The robbery took place at around 7.10 pm on Tuesday, according to reports of the Bulgarian National Radio.

Two armed men attacked a bank employee who had just gotten off an armored collection vehicle and was trying to place a bag of money into an external vault of an office of International Asset Bank.

The robbers snatched the bag of money and ran away.

The exact amount of the money that was stolen is still unclear.

Nobody was injured in the incident.

Police arrived at the site immediately and the area was sealed off.

The Vratsa-based bank office is currently undergoing repairs.

International Asset Bank processes Social Assistance Agency payments.
