1 Navy Yard Gunman Dead, 2 May Be at Large – Report
One of the gunmen who opened fire at the Washington Navy Yard on Monday is dead, according to a senior official.
There are "potentially" two other shooters whom police are looking for in the shooting at the Washington Navy Yard, D.C. Police Chief Cathy Lanier said Monday.
The police said the other two possible gunmen are a white male and a black male, both wearing military-style uniforms.
Washington Mayor Vincent Gray has told reporters the number of fatalities is still unclear but four wounded have been taken to hospital.
About 3,000 people work at the Naval Sea Systems Command headquarters, which builds, buys and maintains the Navy’s ships and submarines and combat systems.
There was no immediate indication of what the motive for the attack might be.
