4.8-Degree Earthquake Hits Western Romania
An earthquake of degree 4.8 on the Richter scale has been registered Sunday afternoon in the western Romanian province of Hunedoara.
The quake was registered at 4:22 pm local time in the region of the town of Totesti, 1 km west and 18 km south of the city of Hunedoara.
Little before that, a weaker, 4.2-degree earthquake was registered with the same epicenter.
The second tremor has been feebly felt in the Vidin province in northwestern Bulgaria, reports the Focus Information Agency.
