A big wildfire has erupted in the exurban area surrounding the southeastern Bulgarian town of Aytos.

The wildfire has spread over a large territory, heading towards the village of Zetyovo, according to the Bulgarian National Radio.

The fire has affected houses, grapevines and a deciduous forest.

Local volunteers, civil defense officials and forest rangers have joined efforts in extinguishing the fire. Fire trucks are expected to arrive from the city of Burgas, the Bulgarian National Radio says.
