Major Migrant Trafficking Operation Dismantled in Bulgaria
In a significant crackdown on organized crime, Bulgarian Border Police have detained ten individuals involved in migrant trafficking during a targeted operation in the Burgas area
Officers of the Regional Border Police Directorate in Elhovo detained a total of 27 illegal immigrants on Friday, according to the country’s Interior Ministry.
The immigrants were from Syria, Palestine, Morocco, Togo, Iraq, Afghanistan and Turkey. They were aged between 17 and 49.
Five of the detained immigrants did not have IDs.
