Bulgaria's caretaker Prime Minister, Marin Raykov, is going to ask the business to show solidarity in very difficult for the Bulgarian people times.
Raykov spoke Thursday after his meeting with right-wing politicians Ivan Kostov and Martin Dimitrov, who were Chairs of the Blue Coalition in the now-dissolved Parliament.
According to him, the Bulgarian business must show it is nationally responsible and a legitimate social partner, Standard news writes.
The PM has stressed companies can use different approaches to assist the most disadvantaged people, explaining he planned to launch a series of consultations with industrials to discuss how they can help.
"The caretaker government would not limit itself to just seeking reserves in the budget," he said.
Kostov has requested concrete measures to handle the suffocating poverty, leading Bulgarians to despair.
Dimitrov has noted that government support for small and medium businesses was also crucial for the moment with the State reimbursing Value Added Tax, VAT, in a timely manner and halting "white-collar racket."
Both have joined in voicing their outrage from the Commission for Protection of Competition stating Wednesday that listing monopolies and cartels was none of their business.
They have insisted before the PM and his ministers that they must continue to inform the Commission about cartel violations such as in the trade and retail sale of medications. Raykov has pledged to do so and to relentlessly seek answers.

Bulgarian Govt Asks Business to Help Dealing with Poverty
There can be no successful government in Bulgaria with unemployment at 12.5% or more. We can hope that this will be understood.

''There can be no successful government in Bulgaria with unemployment at 12.5% or more.''
And tell us Sofianits, can there be successful government in Bulgaria with inflation at 2019.5% as a direct result of the policies you espouse in your economic masterplan?

The methods of controlling inflation are well known, and available to any government that acts responsibly. The situation confronting Bulgaria today is, in part, because domestic inflation over the years has been higher than that of Bulgaria's major trading partners (Germany). That's (one of the reasons) why the value of the Lev is too high compared to the Deutschmark. Today's problems of the suffering Bulgarian people with their economy will not be solved by exclaiming "look what happened in 1997!" That was then. This is now.

You see the Balkan people are in general very stubborn but I firmly believe that the Bulgarian government will sooner or later realize the need of economic stimulus and it will implement it. The world is changing rapidly and finally the Eurasian continent is on its way to realize some of its potential for prosperity and riches.
EU and China are already the largest trading partners and there is a huge potential for Russia-China trades. $80 billion annually is a drop in the bucket knowing the population of 150 million and 1.3 billion. Canada-US trade for example is 2 billion per day with a population 34 and 315 million. So Russia-China trade can easily grow to 10 billion per day and should be done in euros. EU-Russia has a huge potential also.
Cooperation and trade is the future among all countries for better prosperity in Eurasia and there should be no more animosities!
(it’s about time the Balkans also learn something about it!)

George Zheliazkov, is absolutely right in his analysis and prognosis. Let us hope that Bulgaria can overcome the present crisis and remain independent of the Euro, because a lot of promise lies ahead.
