Bulgaria: North Korea Threatens to Strike Southern Islands

A North Korean propaganda website has warned of strikes against Southern islands and advised residents to leave.

The Uriminzokkiri website mentioned targets including Yeonpyeong island, which was attacked by Northern forces in 2010, the BBC informs.

The US said on Friday it would refocus missile defences to its west coast to counter the North's threats.

Pyongyang declared earlier in March that it is ending all non-aggression pacts with South Korea. The announcement followed a new round of UN sanctions punishing Pyongyang for its nuclear test last month.

This renegade regime needs to understand the word "responsibility" it is a nuclear power, has a huge armed forces but seems to have no idea how to control itself. China must be worried as, for the first time it voted with the rest of the UNSC to reprimand this state which is on its own border. Seems to me that it is not only the wealth and the commercial muscle that is headed east but the war threat as well. Do we (the world) really need another cold war? or can someone show this regime that international co-operation and good relations actually brings great benefits.
