Bulgaria's Caretaker Prime Minister Marin Raykov has divided the responsibilities for the coordination of the activity of the different ministries and state agencies among the three Deputy Prime Ministers.
Deputy Prime Minister and Regional Development Minister Ekaterina Zaharieva will oversee the work of the Minister of Economy, Energy and Tourism, Minister of Transport, Information Technology and Communications, Minister of Agriculture and Food, Minister of Environment and Water, and the eGovernment Development Minister.
Zaharieva will also be in charge of the cooperation of the government with the State Commission on Information Security, State Commission for Energy and Water Regulation, Securities and Stock Exchanges Commission, the State Agency for Metrological and Technical Surveillance, the Communications Regulation Commission, the Bulgarian Patent Office, the Bulgarian Nuclear Regulatory Agency and the Privatization and Post-Privatization Control Agency.
Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Labor and Social Policy Delyana Kostadinova will coordinate the activity of the Ministry of Defense, Ministry of Justice, Ministry of Education, Youth and Science, Ministry of Culture, Ministry of Health, Ministry of Physical Education and Sports.
She will also be in charge of the operation of the State Agency for Refugees, State Agency for Child Protection, Bulgarian Archives State Agency, State Agency "State Reserve and War-time Stocks", and the National Compensation Housing Fund, the National Statistical Institute, the National Evaluation and Accreditation Agency, and the National Agency for Vocational Education and Training.
Deputy Prime Minister and EU Funds Minister Iliyana Tsanova will control the activity of the State Agency for Bulgarians Abroad.
The panel of Bulgaria's caretaker government was announced on March 12 by President Rosen Plevneliev.
Bulgarians are to vote in early elections on May 12 after the center-right GERB government resigned on February 20 amid mass anti-poverty protests.
