A new protest will take place in the Bulgarian city of Plovdiv against the dismissal of a teacher who lost his job after performing the Harlem Shake dance with his students in the school yard.

Students and parents will rally in the evening in support of English language teacher, Hristo Danev, 33.

They are organizing themselves on Facebook, calling on each other to unite and attend so that the beloved teacher can be reinstated at the job.

On Friday, 61 teachers at the same Plovdiv high school have signed a declaration against Danev stressing the "moral and ethical boundaries have been crossed," calling his actions "poison."

They note they have refrained for a while from commenting on the case in order to provide opportunities to the public, the parents, and the teachers for freedom of opinion and maintain the image of the school and the teacher's dignity.

The results of the probe of the city's education inspectorate are also expected to be announced Monday.

Danev, who had been teaching English for five years at the St. Cyril and St. Methodius school, organized and videotaped the Harlem Shake dance together with the students.

All of the "performers", the teacher included, were disguised in weird ways as soccer fans, doctors, police officers, sheikhs. The video included performing indecent scenes and smoking.

As a result, indignant parents petitioned against the teacher. Interestingly, Danev resigned himself after orchestrating the Harlem Shake video. However, other parents, and the arge majority of students have voiced strong support for him.

Subsequently, he changed his mind, and tried to revoke his resignation but his contract had already been terminated.

He says his idea was to bring together young people to have fun and smile, after so much negativism in the country.
