Sergey Stanishev, president of the party of European Socialists, declared his support for Hungary's left-wingers during a rally that gathered some 10 000 people in Hungary.

"Hungary needs a new direction," Stanishev declared, endorsing Hungarian Socialist Party leader Attila Mesterhazy.

The PES president strongly criticized Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban, drawing a parallel between him and his homeland archrival, Bulgarian Prime Minister Boyko Borisov.

"The Bulgarian version of Orban is Boyko Borisov," he said, as cited by Bulgarian news agencies.

"There is nothing worse than a populist that pretends to be part of the people but does nothing to defend the people's interests," he added.

Stanishev reminded that Borisov resigned amid massive protests in February.

"This is the fate of authoritarian leaders," he said.

Stanishev, do us all a favour and go back to your motherland Russia/USSR, where you have been brainwashed and conditioned since birth into the twisted communistic/socialist/totalitarian ideology. We do not care who you endorse you redneck and you are nothing more than one of Putin's many minions that serve his regime. A regime than we in Bulgaria and other ex Eastern Bloc countries have been trying to sever ties with for the benefit and freedom of our peoples. Communism and USSR/Russia has been the noose around Bulgaria's neck since 1945/46 and it seems that it is still desperately trying to cling to and control us in any way that they can; by way of seriously misguided people like you. You are not one to cast stones on other political parties, as you and your party in your time in office as Prime Minister of Bulgaria raped and pillaged many resources from the sovereignty of Bulgaria and it's people. Your precious Belene NPP failed because of the ineptness and corruption of your government cowtowing to the Russians. The only place that I would like to see you and your comrades in Bulgaria would be the Belene Prison Camp and to suffer the horrors that were bestowed unjustly to countless innocent people including my Father. May communism and socialism rot in hell.
