Bulgaria's ruling center-right GERB should by no means take part in the country's caretaker government, Sergey Stanishev, leader of the oppositional Bulgarian Socialist Party, has declared.
Stanishev statement follows the surprising resignation of Prime Minister Boyko Borisov and his government on Wednesday.
"We believe that the only reasonable way out is the formation of a caretaker government," Stanishev said on Friday.
"The caretaker Cabinet should not be a second edition of GERB's government," he told reporters.
Borisov has already declared that GERB will not take part in a caretaker government.
The Bulgarian Socialist Party has also said that it will return the mandate to appoint an interim government, calling on all other parliamentary represented parties to do the same.
