Bulgaria: Assaulted Turkish-Bulgarian Leader: Congress Will Be Remembered

Saturday's 8th national congress of the Movement of Rights and Freedoms party will be long remembered, stated leader Ahmed Dogan, just before being assaulted.

Dogan was attacked with a hand gun as he was delivering the opening lines of his speech at the party congress, expected to re-elect him as leader.

The party chair miraculously was unharmed in the incident, while the assaulter suffered a the hands of delegates, before being taken out of the hall by security.
