Italian police on have arrested 11 people on suspicion of bringing drugs into northern Italy from Spain.
Police said the gang, led by a Bulgarian with links to Lombardy clans of the Calabrian 'Ndrangheta mafia, imported "huge quantities" of hashish and marijuana, ANSA informs.
Police have stated that a Carabinieri officer allegedly passed information on rivals to the gang,.
