Christmas may not bring fairy tale snow to Bulgaria, but the good news is that temperatures will not be very low either. Photo by BGNES
Bulgarians may not have to brave a particularly cold Christmas after weather men brought the good news of an expected warm up.
Days after half of the country was trapped in heavy snow and blizzards, Bulgarians are facing a very cold Sunday, which will be followed by a warmer spell.
The mercury will plunge most sharply in the north-eastern part of the country.
Temperatures there are expected to plunge to 20C below zero on Sunday, but a cyclone over the Atlantic Ocean will bring to the Balkans warmer weather. It will reach Bulgaria on December 24 and will be felt here most tangibly on Tuesday and Wednesday.
Road Infrastructure Agency informs that roads will be passable under winter weather conditions, however, drivers must exercise caution because there are icy spots and snow drifts.
