Sofia Awaits Goran Bregovic Concert

Renowned Balkan musician Goran Bregovic is to stage a concert in Bulgarian capital Sofia's Arena Armeets on Thursday.

The concert will start at 7:00 pm EET. Bregovic will be accompanied by his well-known Weddings and Funeral Orchestra.

The Sarajevo-born composer will present his new album, "Champagne for Gypsies."

"This album was created as a response to the huge pressure that Roma people have experienced all over Europe recently," Bregovic has told the Bulgarian National Radio.

Goran Bregovic is highly popular in Bulgaria and has had a number of concerts in the country.
