Bulgaria's members of European Parliament has furiously slammed UK colleague Godfrey Bloom, who warned of an unprecedented crime wave if Romanian and Bulgarian citizens are given full access to his country, due in 2014.
"Britain will be unable to stop the tidal flood of new immigrants because the government's hands are tied and it cannot stop restrictions being lifted without tearing up the treaty signed with Bulgaria and Romania when they joined the EU in 2007," Godfrey Bloom wrote in an article earlier this month.
"The Bulgarian administration is corrupt to the core, funded by the European Union. If the rot is at the top, that filters down through society and we do not want that here. The pure economics of these countries will dictate the migration numbers. Bulgaria has the lowest average income in the EU,"
"Bloom's statements are groundless and discriminatory and only fuel hatred and xenophobia at the tough time we all are going through," Feliz Hyusmenova, MEP from the ethnic Turkish Movement for Rights and Freedoms fumed at the European Parliament.
Socialist Iliana Yotova was even harsher and said that if Bloom fails to embrace the European Union values, he has no place at the European Parliament.
Godfrey Bloom MEP represents UKIP in Yorkshire and North Lincolnshire and is standing for election as police and crime commissioner for Humberside.

This guy is a disgrace to humanity, and should be removed from politics.
The thought he can blatantly be the pot calling the frying pan black when British politicians are no better, screwing every penny they can under the title of expenses.
Even now British Politicians a wangling their way around rules to screw an extra £18,500 per year out of the tax payers by renting each others homes off them, so yes Godfrey Bloom, Bulgaria's Politicians may be crooked but that's no different to the British Politicians and especially David Cameron who ensures his cash is in off shore accounts to avoid paying taxes that he's wanting everyone else to pay.
All Politicians are simply hypocrits

At no point have I said they are not corrupt, my point is that British Politicians (As well as other Nationalities) are also corrupt, looking to scrape every last penny from the public coffers that they can.
But for him to Single out Bulgaria then to make accusations that all the citizens are no better is bang out of order. I for one would like to see his expenses claims for his last 3 years as an EU MP

Godfrey Bloom is a knob.
He should be ignored by all and not given the publicity he is obviously seeking with his xenophobic drivel.
You may take heart in the fact his bid to be police and crime commissioner for Humberside failed miserably. Presumably because the electorate also realised what a чекиджия he is.
