Bulgarian Renewable Energy producers are to stage a fresh protest against against the newly introduced fee for accessing the networks of the three power distributors operating in the country, CEZ, Energo-Pro and EVN.
The renewable energy producers have stated that the new fee is depriving them of up to 40% of their revenues, which they say would lead over 1400 producers to bankruptcy.
The producers have declared that they will lodge a complaint with the European Commission against the newly introduced fee.
Monday's protest will begin in front of the building of Bulgaria's State Commission for Energy and Water Regulation and will end in front of the European Commission Representation in Sofia.
Renewable energy producers in Bulgaria have already staged four protests since September 19, arguing that the fee contradicts Bulgarian and EU laws and that its amount is unprecedented for Europe.
