Bulgarian Economy and Energy Minister Delyan Dobrev is to invite Indian companies to work in the country's first hi-tech park, the Ministry's press office has announced.

Dobrev is to take part in the 17th session of the Bulgarian-Indian Intergovernmental Joint Commission for Economic, Scientific and Technical Cooperation that starts in New Delhi on Monday.

The Minister's main target is to attract Indian investments to Bulgaria.

Bulgaria's first hi-tech park, Sofia Tech Park, is expected to be functional in 2015.

In May, Bulgarian President Rosen Plevneliev stated that giants like Google, Hewlett Packard and Cisco will help Bulgaria develop the concept of Sofia Tech Park and the subsequent implementation of the project.
