Russia and Serbia have inked an intergovernmental agreement on deliveries of Russian natural gas to Serbia until 2021.
The agreement was signed by Russian Energy Minister Aleksandr Novak and his Serbian counterpart Zorana Mihajlovic in the Serbian government headquarters in Belgrade on Saturday. It envisions annual supplies of 5 billion cubic meters of natural gas by Russia's Gazprom.
An addendum to the agreement stipulates that the future exports of Russian gas to Serbia will be carried out on condition that Sebia pays back USD 30 M for Russian gas supplied from November 2000 until January 2001 and about USD 10 M for supplies between 1995 and 2000.
The debt must be paid off in tranches by the end of 2014, RIA Novosti informs.
