Bulgaria: Bulgaria's Unemployment Rate Inched Down to 10.7% in August

Bulgaria's unemployment rate decreased by just 0.1% on a monthly basis in August 2012, reaching 10.7%, according to the country's Employment Agency.

A total of 351 500 Bulgarians were unemployed in August, or 5 000 fewer than in July.

A total of 20 000 people were able to find jobs August, which means an increase by 1 770 as compared with July and by 7 770 year on year.

The Bulgarian Employment Agency registered 11 000 unfilled job positions in August, or 1 400 more than the previous month.

The Agency estimates its unemployment figures based on the number of people registered with Bulgaria's unemployment bureaus.

According to Eurostat, the country's July unemployment rate was 12.4%.
