A bus serving the line between the Bulgarian capital Sofia and the southern city of Stara Zagora has been involved in a traffic accident Saturday.

The bus has been approaching the second largest city of Plovdiv at kilometer 101 on Trakiya highway when the driver lost control and hit the guardrail.

No one was injured, but the driver sustained some cuts. Police say he most likely fell asleep at the wheel.

Passengers were taken to Plovdiv and then one another bus to Stara Zagora.

The section of the highway is open for traffic now.
