A 6.6-magnitude earthquake hit Indonesia's central Sulawesi province on Saturday, according to the US Geological Survey.
The quake struck near the city of Palu on the island of Sulawesi in Indonesia Saturday and the USGS estimates that the likelihood of damage or death was very low, CNN reports.
No tsunami warning has been issued.
Indonesia is on the so-called Pacific Ring of Fire, an area where a large number of earthquakes and volcanic eruptions occur in the basin of the Pacific Ocean
