Iran has officially rejected the claim of British Prime Minister David Cameron that the Burgas Bus Bombing was carried out by pro-Iranian group Hezbollah with Iran's backing.
Cameron's accusation has been dismissed as "baseless" by Iranian authorities.
"Such remarks are baseless and pursue no aim but to damage the Islamic Republic of Iran's amicable relations with [its] foreign partners and will definitely bear no results," Iran's Foreign Ministry Spokesman Ramin Mehmanparast has declared, as cited by Press TV.
Mehmanparast stated that the Islamic Republic has always expressed its opposition to any act of terror, saying, "The Zionist regime (Israel) and the British government are among main supporters of state terrorism."
Bulgarian PM Boyko Borisov and his British counterpart David Cameron recently discussed the alleged Iranian connection to the July 18 terrorist attack.
The July 18 terrorist attack in Bulgaria's Burgas, also known as the Burgas Bus Bombing, killed 5 Israeli tourists and a Bulgarian bus driver at the Black Sea city's airport.
