Bulgaria's coastal line from the largest resort Sunny Beach to the historical town of Sozopol will be cleaned with EU funding.

Europe is giving Bulgaria BGN 172 which will finally resolve the long-standing problems with the insufficient capacity of the purification station of the southern beach resorts.

The Town Hall of Nessebar will sign on August 7 a contract for the financing of the modernization and enlargement of the said station, which is located in Ravda. The contract is under the EU Operational Program Environment for the amount of BGN 97 M.

Bulgaria's Environment Minister, Nona Karadzhova, will be in Nessebar for the signing of the contract.

She will also sign a contract under which another BGN 75 M will be granted to Sozopol for the construction of a purification station there.
