Bulgarian Tennis Player Grigor Dimitrov Reached The Semifinals In Rotterdam
Grigor Dimitrov managed to secure a spot in the semifinals of the ATP 500 tournament in Rotterdam
Bulgaria's top female tennis player Tsvetana Pironkova has failed to overcome Italy's Flavia Pennetta in the second round of the London Olympics tennis tournament.
Pironkova lost to Pennetta 5:7, 1:6 at All England Club Monday night.
This are the second Olympics in a row in which Pironkova fails to make it beyond the second round of the tennis tournament, after she lost in the second round in the 2008 Beijing Olympics, too.
Pironkova still has a chance to perform better at the London Olympics if she and Bulgarian male tennis player Grigor Dimitrov get picked to participate in the couples tournament. The 16 couples to compete in the tournament will be announced by the organizers on Tuesday.
