Shocker: Bulgaria Drops from UK Tourists' Cheapest Summer Spots List
In an unexpected turn, Bulgaria and Turkey have been notably absent from the list of the ten cheapest European summer destinations for British tourists
A Ukrainian man in his 40s has harassed eight boys at the Pomoria Hotel in Bulgaria's Black Sea resort of Sunny Beach, only to be subsequently allowed to return to the hotel by the police, according to a British media report.
As holidaymakers reported the man to the police, they only fined him for "hooliganism" and allowed him to return to the hotel, claiming there was not enough evidence for a court conviction.
"My husband wanted to kill him — but he vanished. Speaking to other families, it was clear he had been touching other boys in a similar way," a mum from Hull told The Sun after her 15-year-old son was molested in the sea and then in a toilet by the paedophile.
The mother also said hotel staff were "reluctant" to call cops.
Another holidaymaker, 38-year-old Kirstie Simmons, told the paper: "When he came back to the hotel we ran him out. But he keeps showing up - it's ruining everyone's holiday. He should be sent to prison."
The Sun says a British Embassy official has arrived in the resort to calm the furious families.
