A bus transporting children from Poland has been involved in a traffic incident in Bulgaria Sunday morning.

The incident happened on the main road between the northeastern city of Razgrad and Black Sea capital Varna, the Razgrad police inform.

The bus veered off the road and ended in the ditch, sustaining damage.

The 50 children, their supervisors, and the driver are doing fine and there are no reported injuries.

Another bus from the Varna-based carrier is on its way to collect the stranded travelers. The children have been on their way to a camp in the Golden Sands beach resort near Varna.

The most likely cause of the incident is the driver falling asleep behind the wheel.
