Russian club Zenit St Petersburg is willing to snap up Manchester United ace Dimitar Berbatov, according to a report.

Life Sports claims Zenit have made contact with Berbatov's representative Emil Danchev.

It is understood they are willing to offer the Bulgarian a two-year deal worth GBP 3.9 M a season.

Berbatov has already made it perfectly clear that he does not want to stay with the Red Devils another season.

"I want to play, I want to help. But for unknown reasons it's not going to happen or my chances will be limited, so it's better for everyone if we say goodbye," the Bulgarian striker recently said on Facebook.

Berbatov is believed to be available for a cut-price fee of GBP 5 M, and has attracted interest from a string of top clubs across Europe, including AC Milan and Galatasaray.
