The suicide bomber who killed six people, including five Israeli tourists, in the Bulgarian city of Burgas, had spent at least four days in the country prior to the terror attack, according to Bulgarian Interior Minister Tsvetan Tsvetanov.
The suicide bomber may have may have even stayed in the country for more than a week, Tsvetanov told a press conference on Friday. He may have stayed in the town of Ravda.
"We are talking about a person that is not a Bulgarian citizen," the Interior Minister revealed.
Tsvetanov also stated that the man may have had an accomplice.
The Interior Minister reiterated that the perpetrator was a former Guantanamo detainee, as it had been reported.
Efforts are now being put into identifying the bomber.
On Thursday, Tsvetanov stated that the "ring around the perpetrator is tightening up," but refused to reveal any details before the end of the investigation.
