A mild earthquake was felt on Thursday in northeastern Bulgaria, about fifty kilometers west of the summer capital Varna.

The quake measured 3.1 on the Richter scale and struck at 1:17 pm., the National Institute of Geophysics, Geodesy and Geography at the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences (BAS) said in statement.

The epicenter was registered 46 kilometers west of the coastal city of Varna, at a depth of 10 kilometers.

There are no reports of damages, injuries or panic among the residents.
