Beach time has settled in full force in Bulgaria to the joy of thousands of holiday makers along the Black Sea coast, but the heat will be potentially dangerous on Friday.

Friday will strike a sweltering 33-38°C heat, while the next two days a wave of cooler air will bring some respite, together with scattered rains.

Code yellow has been declared for the whole of Bulgaria on Friday over the forecast of dangerous heat, the Institute for Meteorology and Hydrology at the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences, BAS, informed.

Temperatures are to reach anywhere between 33 and 38 degrees Celsius, (32 in Sofia), with uncomfortable heat and muggy air.

The weather on the Black Sea Coast will be sunny with temperatures between 29 and 31 degrees and 25-27 for the sea waters.

Code yellow means potentially dangerous weather, where the forecast is not for unusual meteorological events, but requires people to exercise caution.

Forecasts say high temperatures are here to stay during the next three months, but warn that scattered shower spells may spoil beachgoers' plans in the second half of July.
