An attack has been performed at the Exarhia polling station in Greece's capital Athens, during Sunday's crucial parliamentary elections.

The ballot box is reported to have been burned, and two policemen are said to have been wounded and hospitalized.

Accoring to first exit polls radical leftist coalition Syriza and pro-European rightists New Democracy are heading for a tie, with results in the range of 27-30%.

Voting for traditional leftists PASOK are said to have slumped even further down, while neo-Nazis Golden Dawn are expected to make it again to Parliament.

Greece's electoral system adds 50 extra seats in Parliament for the first party in the electoral race, so Sunday's night vote count for Syriza and New Democracy is bound to be extremely heated.
