The Greek crisis may prove an excellent opportunity for Romania and Bulgaria to attract more foreign tourists, according to Dan Matei Agathon, president of the Romanian Tourism Employers' Federation.

Romania's tourism has a great chance to make use of the Greek situation, Agathon reckons.

He has pointed out that Turkish offers are growing more expensive, which would be another advantage for Romania, the Bulgarian Telegraph Agency says, citing Evenimentul Zilei.

Romania's hotel owners are now aiming to attract German tourists, whose number in Bulgaria is decreasing, Agathon has stated.

Some 355 000 German tourists visited Bulgaria in 2011.
