Bulgaria: 3.4-Magnitude Earthquake Shakes Southern Bulgaria File photo

An earthquake with a magnitude of 3.4 on the Richter Scale has been registered in Southern Bulgaria late Sunday night.

The earthquake's epicenter was about 70 km southeast of Sofia, according to the seismologist on duty at the Geophysics Institute of the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences, as cited by Radio Focus.

The earthquake occurred at 11:08 pm on Sunday.

It was felt in the southern towns of Velingrad and Pazardzhik. There are no reports of casualties or damages.
