Taliban fighters are carrying out attacks on embassies in Afghan capital Kabul's diplomatic enclave and Nato's HQ, as well as on the Parliament's building in the west of the city, according to a Taliban spokesman.

Multiple blasts and gunfire have been heard across Kabul, BBC informs.

Smoke has been seen billowing from the direction of the German embassy, while explosions from rocket-propelled grenades rocked nearby buildings, according to The Telegraph.

The Taliban spokesman said there were also attacks in Logar and Paktia provinces. There are also reports of suicide attacks in Jalalabad.
