France's incumbent President Nicolas Sarkozy and left-wing runner Francois Hollande are to stage their last major rallies in Paris on Sunday ahead of the country's much anticipated vote on April 22.
Sarkozy will address supporters in the French capital's Place de la Concorde, while frontrunner Hollande will speak to his supporters on a vast esplanade in front of the Chateau de Vincennes, according to international media.
The latest polls predict that Hollande would win the runoff on May 6 by between 9 and 14 points.
Hollande has vowed to privilege growth over the austerity measures that Sarkozy has imposed in a bid to control France's budget deficit, a move that the right-winger warns would plunge France into the same debt crisis as Spain.
