The number of nights spend in Bulgaria's hotels and other accommodation establishments decreased by 6.6% as compared to January, reaching 572 800.
A 15.4% decrease was registered in the nights spent in 5-star hotels, while places with 3 or 4 stars observed a 2.6% decrease. Nights spent in establishments for accommodation with one or two stars saw an 8.5% increase in February, according to Bulgaria's National Statistical Institute.
The number of nights spent by foreigners in February dropped by 19.9% as compared to January, reaching 243 800.
Almost all foreigners preferred to spend their nights in hotels , 71.4% of them choosing 4- or 5-star ones.
