Three towns in Northwestern Bulgaria have broken their warm temperature records for March 17 on Saturday.

The Danube towns of Oryahovo and Lom also saw temperature records – with 21.4 and 22.1 degrees Celsius respectively, the National Meteorology and Hydrology Institute at the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences announced.
Thus, Saturday's temperatures in both Oryahovo and Lom broke the March 17 records from 2001 and 2005.
