The murderers of the 60-year-old Turkish businessman whose dead body was discovered on Wednesday near the Southern Bulgarian town of Gotse Delchev have been apprehended, according to police.

Four men have been arrested for the murder, the Standart daily has reported. They allegedly robbed him of BGN 4000.

The murder has been carried out with extreme cruelty, according to police officers. Deep stab wounds have been discovered on the victim's head, face and heart.

The victim was probably murdered some 5 to 7 hours before his body was discovered on Wednesday in an abandoned white minivan near the village of Borovo.
