Bulgaria's former President, Georgi Parvanov, and Vice President, Angel Marin, have called their first conference since their last term in office ended in January.

On Thursday, Parvanov and Marin are expected to discuss the decree scandal that recently emerged involving Marin's potential illegitimacy as Vice President and his pardoning of felons.

It was recently revealed that Parvanov failed to issue a decree for Marin's second term appointment back in 2006.

During his two terms as VP, Marin had pardoned 533 felons, some convicted for grave crimes such as murder and rape.

A parliamentary committee was created last week to determine the legitimacy of Parvanov and Marin's actions in granting pardons to felons and okaying Bulgarian citizenship requests.
