Bulgaria's Sofia Airport has handled the 5 millionth baggage of a departing passenger from its Terminal 2.

The airport's EDS baggage handling system checked the 5 millionth baggage of a departing passenger from Terminal 2 at approximately 2:30 pm on Wednesday, according to Sofia Airport's official website. The system was installed in 2006, when Terminal 2 was launched.

The owner of the "lucky" baggage traveled to Palma de Mallorca.

For the last month, a total of 233 050 passengers have been served by the largest Bulgarian airport's two terminals.
