A man who bears a striking resemblance to Russian PM Vladimir Putin lives in a godforsaken village in central China, according to Chinese media

The likeness between a common Chinese peasant Luo Yuanping and the prominent Russian politician was discovered by a correspondent of a local newspaper who visited the village.

The villagers, who are excited to have a local celebrity, call the 48-year-old man "Putin's brother" – and Yuanping does not mind it, Pravda.ru reports.

"I still work in the fields, of course, nothing has changed at this point," Putin's lookalike has commented on his lifestyle. He hopes that his popularity will help him find a woman who would then become his wife.

The Chinese man's dream is to change his occupation and become an entertainer. "I could perform at parties and other entertaining events. I want to change my life, I want to find a wife and have a family," he says.
