Outgoing Bulgarian President and Commander in Chief, Georgi Parvanov, attended Saturday a mass for Archangel All Souls' Day.

The mass was served at the mausoleum at the Sofia Central cemetery by the Znepole Bishop Yoan and Bishop Naum.

Archangel All Souls' Day is called Men's All Souls' Day as well. This is the day when the souls of all those who died as fighters for Bulgaria are honored, including those who served in the modern Bulgarian Army.

Defense Minister, Anyu Angelov, Head of Defense, Gen. Simeon Simeonov, high-ranking military officers, servicemen, and representatives of Bulgarian Patriotic Unions attended the ceremony.

Wreaths from Parvanov, Prime Minister, Boyko Borisov, the Speaker of the Parliament, Tsetska Tsacheva, Minister Angelov, and Gen, Simeonov were laid at the monument.

After the mass and the ceremony, officials went inside to light a candle for the departed and to sip a glass of wine.
