A 2-week-old baby girl was rescued from underneath the debris of a seven-story apartment building 46 hours after a 7.2-magnitude earthquake struck southeast Turkey.

Azra Karaduman is 14-days-old and had been born three weeks prematurely, CNN reported, citing local TV stations.

A rescuer cradled the naked infant, who was wrapped in a blanket and handed over to a medic.

Azra was pulled from the arms of her mother, Semiha, after she had managed to make contact with the rescue workers.

The baby's grandmother has also been pulled out from the wreckage.

The girl's father is also somewhere under the rubble but it is unclear if he has survived.

Rescuers in Ercis and Van continue the struggle to free people trapped inside mounds of concrete, twisted steel and construction debris.

Authorities have warned the survivors of Sunday's earthquake not to enter the damaged buildings.

Thousands of people were forced to spend a second night outdoors in cars or tents amid freezing temperatures.

The death toll from the quake measuring 7.2 on the Richter scale and centered in southeastern Turkey has risen to 366, with 1301 injured.

Officials have reported that 2622 buildings have been torn down.
