Bulgaria: Toddler Shot in the Head, Fighting for Life at Pirogov Hospital
A devastating incident unfolded this afternoon near Vratsa, Bulgaria, where a one-and-a-half-year-old child was shot in the head under unknown circumstances
K.S., 46, from the northeastern Bulgarian town of Antonovo, has killed his daughter, shot his wife and committed suicide in the wee hours Monday.
The gruesome news has been confirmed by the regional police directorate in the city of Targovishte.
The woman, 36, is listed in the Targovishte hospital with a gun wound in the right armpit, but is in stable condition.
She called the police around 6 am to report the shooting. K.S. had used his service Makarov handgun, which he was issued due to his job as security guard at the Central Cooperative Bank branch in Antonovo.
The police, investigating the case, further inform that their initial lead for the cause of the violence is the staggering bank debt of the man.
The Antonovo Mayor, Taner Ali, is quoted saying the murdered girl, 13, suffered from diabetes and the father also had to take care of his brother, who was in a wheelchair, which could also have triggered the shooting.
