The Bulgarian men's volleyball team suffered a surprising 2:3 defeat at the hands of Slovakia in its first game from the European volleyball championship in the Czech Republic and Austria.
The Bulgarian team started out very badly, losing the first to sets with 24:26 and 25:27, but then managed to take back the next two games, winning 26:24 and 25:19.
Bulgarians nevertheless went to lose the evenly played tiebreak with 15:17, after playing for more than 2 and a half hours.
Bulgaria's other rivals in Group D of the championship are Poland and Germany. Bulgaria faces the strong team of Poland Sunday evening.
