Ivet Lalova, Bulgaria's top sprinter, has failed to qualify for the final of the World Athletic Championships women's 200 m.

On Thursday, Lalova finished in 23.03. It was in-form US sprinter Shalonda Solomon that recorded the best time in the semifinals - 22.46 seconds.

Ivet Lalova has already ended 7th out of eight sprinters that reached the final of the 100 m sprint

Lalova, who is known as the world's fastest white woman, was the only European in the 100 meter final of the world competition. She ran the 100 meters in 11.27 seconds.
