Russian club Anzhi Makhachkala are preparing a lucrative offer for Manchester United's unsettled Bulgarian hitman Dimitar Berbatov, it has been reported.

Anzhi, located in the federal republic of Dagestan, used to be an obscure team before it was bought by local billionaire Suleyman Kerimov in January 2011.

The club have already bought the likes of Roberto Carlos, Yuri Zhirkov, and most recently Inter's former star striker Samuel Eto'o. Now, they are after Berbatov and are willing to spend EUR 30 M on him, according to Daily Star, as cited by Bulgarian media.

Anzhi are also said to consider snapping up Manchester United's Serbian centre back Nemanja Vidic. The Russian club are reportedly willing to pay a total of GBP 62 M to land the defender, GBP 25 M to the Red Devils for the player and GBP 37 M in wages over a four year period

Despite numerous reports that Berbatov would leave Old Trafford very soon, Manchester United coach Sir Alex Ferguson, has stated the player is not for sale as he insists on using him during the  season.

PSG have been reported on several occasions as hoping to sign Berbatov during the summer transfer window, together with the likes of Valencia, Bayern Munich, Juventus and  Malaga. The transfer window ends on August 31.
