The Transitional National Council (TNC) is to officially represent Libya at the meeting of the Arab League.

The emergency meeting is called Saturday to discuss the situation in Syria.

The foreign ministers agreed during their last meeting in Doha that is time for Libya to join the Arab League and TNC is the sole legitimate representative as a Libyan authority in the League, according to Nabil Al Arabi, Egypt's Foreign Minister and Arab League Chief.

On February 22, the League banned Libya from participation in their meetings until Tripoli responds to the rebels' demands.
